So everywhere I go, I talk to people who like to bake and it seems that cookies are the number one thing that people are always baking. Then the topic of “where can I find the old fashioned metal cookie cutters?” seem to inevitably comes up. I have the answer for you. Check out this site here. American Traditon Cookie Cutters has a wide selection of cookie cutters everything from Biscuit Cutters to Adjustable Wrenches. If you can not find the cookie cutter you are looking for they will try to help.
There are a lot of crafts you can do with a cookie cutter, from baby showers to making doughnuts. Here are few of my favorite Kitchen Craft ideas.
Weddings – Why give your guests the same old wedding mints that everyone has at their wedding. If you are getting married or if you know someone who is, give your guests a cookie cutter of your favorite hobby that you and your fiancé like to do together. Are you both into fishing, get an assortment of fish cookie cutters and place them in a clear bag with a thank you tag that has the recipe to your favorite cookie. You can do this same idea for babyshowers too just get baby themed cookie cutters instead.
Doughnuts – get a circular cookie cutter (biscuit cutter) and a doughnut recipe which you can find here, and make some doughnuts with your kids, niece(s), nephew(s), grandchildren, or just by yourself. The kids will love these and you will find it simple and easy to do.
Breakfast – When I am in the mood for having an Egg McMuffin from McDonalds, I make them from home instead. All you need are the ingredients and a circular cookie cutter (biscuit cutter) for the egg. Crack open the egg and put it in the cookie cutter that you placed in you pan. Home made egg McMuffins are so easy to do.
Cookie Cutters can also be stencils for kids drawings and art projects made of clay. You can do a multitude of things. I would love to hear some of your Kitchen Craft ideas that you use your cookie cutters for, so leave a comment and help spark others with your ideas too.
